Photographs Used

This photgraph was used for my cover.

 

This photograph was used for the main image on my double page spread. As I decideed the album would be called 'breakage' I decided to have my model throwing a chair so that the name of the album related to the photograph taken.

 

This photograph was used for the smaller image on my double page spread.

 

 I edited all thre photographs in photoshop so that I could make the backgrounds of the images either white or black. These colours contrast with eachother and stick out and so I though that this would be a good idea for my rock music magazine.

Double Page Spread 1st try

 

This was my first try at my double page spread. when looking at the page I noticed that the name of the artist on the page was in small print on the bottom left hand side of the page and not visible. This meant that anyone turning to this page may not know who this is. I thought that by putting the name of the band on the left hand side of the page, somewhere in the midle, anyone turning to this page could look at it and think, "I like this band, oh look thats the name of the band, I might start to listen to their songs."

I like this more than the before as it seems that the page is filled but not cluttered. before the page seemed empty. i have noticed that adding a small thing can change the whole view of the magazine.

Cover change

 

I have decided to change the size of the title on the cover page because I saw this as too big and thought it drew atention away from the rest of the magazine i then moved the skyline down aswell so that it was just above the name of the magazine. I also added more text near the head of my model as i thought this looked extremely plain. i added the spikes around the text so that it had a small amount more detail and made the page look more filled.
